Hanks Anuku Breaks Silence After Viral Abuja Video
Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has responded to widespread concern over his wellbeing after a video of him in Abuja circulated across social media.
The footage, which emerged over the weekend, showed the actor in the Wuse 2 area of the Federal Capital Territory sitting near a roadside, holding a disposable cup and appearing to speak to himself. The clip quickly went viral, prompting mixed reactions and concern from fans.
However, in a separate video shared by a man who said he met the actor on Tuesday, Anuku appeared calm and composed as he addressed the attention generated by the earlier footage.
Responding to the speculation surrounding his condition, the veteran actor dismissed the concerns and insisted that he was doing well.
He urged those discussing his personal life to shift their attention to more pressing national issues instead of making assumptions about him.
According to Anuku, he is not bothered by the comments circulating online and remains in good condition.
Speaking in the video, he said:
"Y'all haven't seen anything yet. Y'all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don't have a better thing to do, go do something. I'm good."
His response has since sparked fresh reactions on social media, with many fans expressing relief after seeing the actor speak and reassure the public about his wellbeing. Others, however, have continued to urge that veteran entertainers receive greater support and welfare within the Nigerian film industry.
