Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that Nigeria is beginning to emerge from the difficult phase of its economic reform programme, expressing optimism that the country is now on a path toward greater stability and growth.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, Tinubu said the sacrifices made by Nigerians over the past three years are beginning to produce positive economic outcomes.

The President compared the spirit of sacrifice associated with the Islamic celebration to the economic challenges citizens have endured under his administration’s reform agenda.

According to him, the reforms have helped stabilise the economy and strengthened Nigeria’s position as an attractive destination for investment, which he believes will support job creation and long-term economic development.

He declared that the most difficult phase of the reform process had passed, expressing confidence that the country was entering a more promising period.

Tinubu also assured Nigerians that ongoing reforms would continue to improve security conditions and create wider opportunities for citizens across different sectors.

Addressing the security situation, the President acknowledged that terrorist attacks and banditry remain major concerns despite recent gains recorded by security agencies.

He referenced the recent joint operation between Nigerian and United States authorities that led to the elimination of ISIS leader Abu-Bilal al-Manuki in the Lake Chad region.

While recognising that some communities still face attacks from armed groups, Tinubu assured residents that the government remains committed to defeating criminal elements threatening national peace and stability.

The President further urged Muslim faithful to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as an opportunity to pray for peace, unity, and wisdom for the nation’s leaders.

He also encouraged Nigerians to extend kindness and support to the less privileged during the festive period.

Reflecting on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, Tinubu said the celebration serves as a reminder of the values demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, including faith, obedience, sacrifice, and compassion.

He stressed that the occasion should inspire Nigerians to embrace unity, selflessness, and collective responsibility regardless of religious background.

Tinubu added that his administration remains focused on strengthening investments in critical sectors such as security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development in order to unlock the country’s full potential.
