Oborevwori Says Development Across Delta Deserves APC's 2027 Victory

Oborevwori Urges Isoko People to Support APC in 2027 After Inspecting Projects

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has appealed to residents of Isoko Nation to support candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying the government's development efforts deserve electoral backing.

The governor made the appeal while inspecting ongoing and completed projects, including the College of Health Technology in Ovrode and the Ozoro Modern Market in Isoko North Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, Oborevwori said his administration had executed projects across the state and urged the people of Isoko to reciprocate by voting for APC candidates in the next elections.

He noted that his government had invested significantly in road infrastructure, healthcare, education and other critical sectors across all 25 local government areas and the state's three senatorial districts.

Speaking on the inspection exercise, the governor explained that it is his standard practice to personally assess projects before commissioning them to ensure they meet the required quality standards.

He said the College of Health Technology project was progressing well but still required a few finishing touches, particularly in landscaping and other minor corrections, before it would be ready for inauguration.

Oborevwori described the health institution as a strategic investment, adding that the state government also approved and completed an access road to improve connectivity to the facility.

According to him, both the college and the newly constructed road will be commissioned together once the remaining work is completed.

The governor said the project demonstrates his administration's commitment to strengthening healthcare education and expanding access to quality public infrastructure across Delta State.

During his visit to the Ozoro Modern Market, Oborevwori expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, stating that the facility had been completed and was ready for commissioning.

He stressed that his administration's development agenda extends beyond road construction, pointing to major investments in education, healthcare and other sectors.

Oborevwori added that several landmark projects had also been undertaken at Southern Delta University, insisting that development was taking place across the state under his administration's M.O.R.E. Agenda.

Meanwhile, the contractor handling the Ozoro Modern Market project, Amadhe, raised concerns over repeated acts of vandalism at the facility.

He disclosed that approximately ₦3.2 million had already been spent on repairing damage caused by three separate attacks on the market.

The contractor appealed to the government and security agencies to strengthen security around the complex to safeguard the public investment and ensure traders and residents can make full use of the facility after its commissioning.
