Frank Onyeka Completes Permanent Move to Coventry City

Nigeria international Frank Onyeka has completed a permanent transfer from Brentford to Coventry City after the club exercised the option to make his loan move a full-time deal.

The midfielder initially joined Coventry on loan in January and quickly became an important member of the squad during the second half of the season.

Onyeka featured in 14 Championship matches, scoring once as Coventry secured promotion back to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old also brings significant top-flight experience to the club, having made 75 Premier League appearances during his time with Brentford.

Speaking after confirming the move, Onyeka expressed his excitement about continuing his journey with Coventry City and returning to the Premier League.

He said he joined the club last season with the ambition of helping the team win promotion, adding that he is delighted to have achieved that objective and become a permanent Coventry player.

The Super Eagles midfielder pledged to give his all for the club, promising to fight for every ball, support his teammates and use his experience to help the team succeed.

Looking ahead to the new campaign, Onyeka said his immediate goal is to help Coventry establish themselves in the Premier League and finish as high as possible in the league table.

The permanent transfer will officially come into effect on July 1, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Onyeka's career as he prepares for life in England's top flight with the Sky Blues.
